We’re pleased to share some exciting news from our audit team – Nicholas James has joined PKF BBA as our new Audit Director. His arrival marks an important step in our continued investment in people, leadership and client service.
Nic (as he’s known to most) brings over 15 years of audit and assurance experience, leading large multi-national audits across Jersey, Guernsey and South Africa. He has significant expertise in the offshore financial services sector, including work with family offices, investment managers, private equity and venture capital funds, as well as real estate and debt structures.
He also has experience in assurance engagements beyond traditional audit, such as agreed-upon procedures, service organisation control reporting, and local regulatory reviews , areas that are increasingly important to our clients.
Nic leads a diverse portfolio of audit and assurance engagements and is passionate about supporting clients operating in regulated sectors. He also takes an active role in the local business community, currently serving as an Executive Committee Member and Treasurer of the Jersey Society of Chartered and Certified Accountants (JSCCA).
What stood out to us was not just Nic’s strong technical background, but his collaborative approach and enthusiasm for team development – both of which align with our values here at PKF BBA.

Nic is based in our St Helier office and is already working closely with clients and colleagues alike. We’re excited to have him on board and confident he’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our audit and assurance offering.
